The
late
Rev. Eddie L. Currie
was a selfless humanitarian and visionary leader, who possessed
a conviction that "faith without work" is dead. It is because of
his concern for others (particularly youth) that the scholarship
fund, which bears his name was established. He regarded ministry
and action as inseparable elements of life, and demonstrated
this belief through word and deed. An expression of this
conviction was demonstrated by his commitment to education and
the pursuit of academic excellence. |

For many years Christ M. B. Church
has encouraged its high school graduates by making a financial
investment in their future.
In keeping with his legacy
of love, the Eddie L. Currie Scholarship Banquet is held
annually in honor of our graduates, for their hard work,
dedication, and perseverance in completing high school. |
